Can you believe Ellie's been here with us for two whole months now?! I can't. It feels like she's always been here... and that she's still brand new... sort of. She had her Dr. visit this morning and passed with flying colors. She even calmed down pretty quickly after all her immunizations. Miles was on hand to help keep her entertained and happy during the visit too. He's such a great big brother!
Here are her stats:
- Height: 22.5" (57th Percentile)
- Weight: 13 lb 10 oz (99th Percentile... yes, that's 6 whole pounds more than when she was born)
- Head: 38 3/4 cm (50th Percentile)
She's shorter than Miles was, percentile wise, but she's just as chunky. I think her weight is more evenly distributed as she's missing the distinct toad belly that Miles sported at this age.
Here are some other things of note about Ellie at two months old:
- Her hair is growing back on top of her head. Now it's fuzzy and soft again!
- She loves to smile and talk.
- She adores Miles... at least judging by how much she smiles and talks to him and looks around for him when he leaves.
- Her neck is strong and she loves to be held up so she can look around.
- She loves playing on her activity mat and hitting the toys.
- She loves the swing (swinging head to toe), and usually naps there just like Miles did.
- Just the past few days, she's moved back to eating every 2-4 hours when she's awake rather than every 2 hours exactly like she has been for the past while. Yay!
- She loves being outside and going for walks, as long as she's in the Bjorn and not confined to her carseat and/or the stroller. She's cool with wiggling on a blanket for a while too.. though she must have company for that. (She's a social person)
