It seems like our kids are always getting into something these days... whether it's the computer (which we now have password protected to keep Miles off it), to stuff laying around. Luckily neither of them have a real affinity for super dangerous items... just expensive technology and paper.
Ellie LOVES paper. So, naturally she absolutely loves pulling everything out of our recycle box.
Miles and I continued the tradition of sugar cookies at Christmas this year during one of Ellie's naps. This kid has a thing for flour. He even likes to eat it.... weird. As you can see, he also likes to wear it.
On Sunday, we attempted to get some cute pictures of Miles and Ellie in front of the Christmas tree while they were all dressed up... Can we say hard!? Miles had to be bribed with candy to let us take his picture and to smile, and Ellie... well she just doesn't stay where you put her anymore, and she's too young for a bribe. We did manage to get a couple cute ones, despite the challenges.
On a side note, our nice, wonderful, camera almost met a tragic end on Sunday as well. We had it out since we were taking pictures and Miles wanted to be like us. He knew how we put SD cards in the camera... only he didn't have one handy. Of course he did the most logical thing he could think of, grabbed a penny and stuck it in the SD card slot. Tyson and I just about died! We had a little discussion with Miles about how is is to never, ever, under any circumstance touch the camera again. We also re-dedicated ourselves to putting it back in the camera bag any time it's not in use. And, to top it all off, Tyson got the penny out and the camera still works just fine. Yay!!!! The relief that washed over us upon learning this was immense. So, hopefully you will all learn your lesson about leaving stuff out around Miles the easy way, through this story. :)
Here's proof the camera still works:
