Without further ado, here are the pictures (There are a lot... so brace yourselves. I'll post more later once I get them off Tyson's computer.
Traveling can take a lot out of a kid. Particularly when he stays up late playing after a day of traveling. He didn't quite make it to wash his hands.
Here's the giant Christmas tree on Main Street in Disneyland. This was the best I could get Miles to do. He hadn't quite caught the vision of Disneyland yet.
Check out the castle! Disney sure knows how to decorate!
Here's Miles and Mommy on our first ride of the day... Dumbo! We were a bit worried that Miles wouldn't want to ride anything because he can be a bit timid about such things... but he had no fear and had a blast!
He was all about going up! No down for him. Which was just fine with me. Ellie rode with Daddy and had a blast too.
Here are the kids posing for a picture after the ride. So cute!
The tea cups were our next stop. Since Daddy doesn't spin so well, we spent our time trying not to spin. Here's Ellie helping.
Somehow, despite the crowds, we never had to wait in line too terribly long. Just about everything was about a 20 minute wait. Nothing pretzels, raisins, and cheerios can't fix. The kids were really good waiting their turns.
Ah, the Kacy Jr. Train. The kids loved it.
Here's Miles and Grandpa Marc on the Monorail. That was the first thing Miles saw at Disneyland and he was super excited to ride in it!
Here's Ellie and Daddy in the Monorail.
Tyson took Miles on the little roller coaster in Toon Town, and Miles LOVED it! Tyson said he screamed with delight the whole time. Even while they were in line. lol. Here's a picture of them about to get on the ride. Miles is in the gray and blue striped hoodie.
While they rode the roller coaster, short stuff and Mommy went over to Minnie's house. Ellie loved watching the dishwasher. "Bubbles!"
Okay, here's a funny picture of Ellie one night. She's in the habit of taking her pants off when she goes to bed. Annoying, but kinda funny. The red wad of stuff to her left are her pants. Comfy looking, eh?
Thanksgiving day brought Olivia's formal wear competition. Seeing as she needed an escort, my dad was volunteered. He dresses up pretty good if you ask me. They both did great.
Here's Olivia, my Dad, and Crystal after the competition.Miles was showing me something outside the condo. I noticed Tyson had the camera pointed at us so I pulled this wonderful face.
After all the formal stuff was out of the way, we sat down to Thanksgiving dinner. Here's Ellie ready to pray. Someone did something silly so she's laughing in the photo.
The next day we headed to Huntington Beach near the Surf City pier. First order of business? Chase the Seagulls of course! The weather was nice and there weren't many people so we had lots of fun.
Miles went right to work making his long awaited sand castle. The castle wasn't much. But he sure had fun building it!
Ellie was starving as soon as we got to the beach, so her and Daddy sat down to a little snack. Click on the picture... go ahead. It's worth it. lol
Then Ellie moved on to more bird chasing...
And then she was introduced to the water... The cold murky stuff we call the Pacific Ocean. She was in HEAVEN! Notice the death grip I have on both of her hands? I was pretty sure that if I let go she would just run straight into the water and get towed out to sea. She loved it that much.
I think she wanted me to sit her down... I probably should have. She was already soaked from the waist down.
Miles still playing in the sand. He caught the shell collection bug toward the end and we came back with all sorts of treasures.
Here's Ellie. She was cold in her wet shorts so we put on some sweats we had brought. They were soaked before we left too.
This picture captures my love/hate relationship with the beach. Sure it's beautiful, fun, and stuff, but the sand? You just can't get rid of it. I guarantee there is now some in our house.
Tyson got Miles to play in the water for a bit. Thus the wet shorts. But he preferred the sand.
Ta Da!
Here's Ellie trying on Olivia's pageant banner. She enjoyed hanging out with the girls.
More pictures to come later!
