Happy Halloween!

Well, we celebrated Halloween at Tyson's work on Friday, and had a ward Trunk-or-Treat/tailgate party on Saturday (yes, in the rain). Miles got into the holiday a lot more than he did last year. He loved all the treats and actually liked dressing up in his costume. :) He was still pretty timid, and we had to carry him through the dark departments on Friday, but it was lots of fun. Ellie was just along for the ride this year.

Here are the kids in their costumes:

Miles was a chicken... well Rooster. He is a boy after all. :) We didn't manage to get a single picture of him smiling. Every time we whipped out the camera, he got all somber faced. Oh well.

Here's Ellie. She was a princess. (Note the jewels on her headband. That was the best I could do for a tiara.) That dress is actually her Christmas dress, but I was worried she wouldn't fit into it by then. I think my fears were justified. She fills out the 6-9 month dress nicely.

We also carved pumpkins as part of Family Home Evening last Monday. No real spiritual meaning. It was just fun. Miles helped choose the design.
