She Did It!

After a very long time of trying, I daresay Ellie is good to go on potty training. Sure, she's 3, she still has an accident sometimes, but she goes, and is doing well. So in honor of all her hard work and successes, she got a horse ride tonight. A local stable (Melville Stables) was so kind as to allow her to catch a ride on a beautiful horse named Cupcake between lessons tonight.

St. George

We headed down to St. George for Memorial Day weekend, had some fun, and celebrated the kids' birthdays with all our family down there. We had a great time!

While we were down there, we took the kids up on the Red Hill, checked out St. George from the Sugarloaf with Miles' new binoculars and showed the kids where Mommy repelled off the rock. They loved climbing into the little caves. Ryan and Bree'L were able to come with us too.

Bree'L, Miles and I hiked through the narrows together. Oh goodness! I forgot how skinny that gap is.

The kids had a blast seeing everyone and celebrating their birthdays.

Happy Birthday Miles!

Miles turned 5 toward the end of May. We celebrated with a construction cake, yummy dinner and some gifts.

Miles received a stomp rocket, which the kids love!
Miles wanted to wear his birthday hat from his preschool class for the party.

Happy birthday Miles!!

May Recap

During May, we managed a few pictures from around the house. One night Tyson bribed Owen to eat his broccoli with cheerios. He was on a cheerio kick and any other food just couldn't be bothered with. Luckily, he's over that now and eats just about everything.

Once allergies were more or less gone, we headed outside to pull some weeds. There were lots.
Miles and Ellie get in helper mode and just can't be stopped. The were unloading the dishwasher together. It was a beautiful site! If only they were so agreeable to this chore every day.
Owen also got his first hair cut. His mullet had to go. He was quite cooperative and we all had a good time.
